Raleigh, NC - July 17, 2008 - Advanced Information Solutions, Inc. (AIS) is pleased to announce the delivery of a major update to the Medication Access and Review Program (MARP) application.

The Medication Access and Review Program (MARP) application is an initiative of the North Carolina Foundation for Advanced Health Programs (NCFAHP) and is deployed in over 130 health centers and free clinics throughout North Carolina. It enables health care facilities to more efficiently acquire needed medications from pharmaceutical companies at little or no cost to the patient, as well as providing a framework for patient medication management. Medication management allows health care facilities to review patients medications to insure efficacy, reduce or eliminate possible harmful interactions among medications and identify and eliminate duplicative therapy.

Since it's introduction in 2003, the Medication Access and Review Program (MARP) application has enabled health centers to more efficiently acquire over $200,000,000 in free or low cost medications for their medically indigent patients.
