Virginia Health Care Foundation - The Pharmacy Connection (TPC SQL)

Developed The Pharmacy Connection for the VHCF. The software facilitates, in a manner similar to the Medication Access and Review Program (MARP) in North Carolina, the acquisition of low, or no cost medications from Pharmaceutical companies for low income or medically indigent patients throughout the State of Virginia. The software is currently deployed at over 150 sites throughout Virginia.

North Carolina Physicians Advisory Group - (NCPAG)

Developed the website for The North Carolina Physician Advisory Group (NCPAG), a charitable, nonprofit organization that was created for the purpose of advising the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) on ways to improve the state's vulnerable populations by expanding access to quality, cost-effective health care services.

The Interactive Prescription Advantage List (PAL) was developed to allow physicians to easily query for lower cost prescribing alternatives. PAL medications may be searched for by medication name or medication class name. The entire medication class is displayed with relative PAL rankings and links to evidenced based reviews and pharmaceutical package inserts.

Department of Environment, Health and Natural Resources

Produced a well received white paper on database middleware technology for the North Carolina Department of Environment, Health and Natural Resources (DEHNR). This agency was interested in Sybase middleware technology and it's applicability to the agency need of providing transparent desktop access to heterogeneous data sources which included Sybase SQL Server(tm), mainframe DB2(tm) data and mainframe VSAM files.

NASA Langley Research Center

Developed a project management system for the Internal Operations Group of the NASA Langley Research Center. The system was developed using 4th Dimension(tm) as a front end to a Sybase SQL Server database. The system allowed users to define projects for a five year window and match resources, human and material, to the projects. It provided estimation of cost and analysis of available staffing.

VNU

Developed a sophisticated auxiliary data management system, for VNU ($5 Billion Netherlands based, Multi-National), to allow capture and processing of supplemental data associated with 'airplay' (songs played on monitored radio stations in Europe). The system is Microsoft SQL Server based with a Visual C++ front-end application.

Nortel - RoadRunner (MDV)

Developed a single user application used by Nortel's Norstar Marketing division located in Nashville, Tennessee. The application schedules and reports on the activities and expenses associated with mobile display vehicles and its operators. The mobile display vehicles are used throughout the United States and Canada to market and demonstrate Nortel products.

Enhanced a Macintosh based corporate wide application used to track and report earnings and usage of Distributor promotional funds. This application managed and reported the accumulation and usage of promotional funds in multiple currencies based on the distributors sales volume.

North Carolina State Information Processing Services

Produced a fully functional prototype of an CGI interface from Web client to Sybase SQL Server back-end data for the NC Secretary of State's Office. The prototype allowed public access to the directory of Corporation registered in the state of North Carolina.

Nortel - Targeted Marketing

Completed needs assessment, designed and developed a 'proof of concept' for a large scale Targeted Marketing database for Nortel. The system incorporated a 4th Dimension GUI with a SybaseŞ database. The system managed, tracked and reported the activities associated with a targeted marketing process nationwide and in Canada.

Radio Computing Services

Provided database design services for three major Radio Computing Services (RCS) initiatives, MusicBase, Traffic and MusicUSA. Application friendly, 3rd Normal Form designs were implemented on a number of Microsoft SQL Servers to support applications written in PowerBuilder(tm) and Visual C++(tm).

Research Triangle Institute - Badge and Pass

Provide design assistance during the early phases and implementation assistance during the latter phases of this project for Research Triangle Institute's (RTI) client, NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton VA. The system for NASA provided security access control, vehicle registration and traffic violation management for NASA's security services group.

Nortel - RSB DataSource

Designed and developed a client/server application used by Nortel's Residential/Small Business Marketing Programs and Budget/Forecasting groups located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The system functions as two applications, one for budgeting, forecasting and reporting the activity associated with the Marketing Programs. The second component manages the Marketing Program collateral/sales materials.

The application is used for tracking, authorization and reporting awards earned and used by Nortel's Distributors and internal sales staff, based on sales volume. The system interfaces with data managed by a fulfillment house located in the Midwest.

State of North Carolina Office of Rural Health - Practice Sights

Developed a statewide database for the Office of Rural Health, State of North Carolina to assist in the placement of physicians into previously under-served rural communities. The system allows the matching of physician specialties and community preferences to existing opportunities. The system was originally developed as a client/server database for the Macintosh, then was ported to run in the Windows environment. The system is currently Microsoft SQL Server based with a Visual C++ front-end application and is deployed nationwide.
